Organizing and providing service to all veterans and their families is an area our Post and Auxiliary units excel in. These programs support all veterans, to include Active Duty, Reservists, National Guard and Retired. We serve ALL veterans without regard to their faith affiliation.

“For I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” – Mt 25:35-36

WELFARE PROGRAM Examples:
  • The Catholic War Veterans has accredited VA Service Officers who will, upon request, provide assistance in preparing and defending claims for VA benefits.
  • Post & Auxiliary members volunteer at VA medical facilities – visiting patients, providing transportation and escort services, host ward parties, and assist with monetary or sundry donations of items requested by the VA
  • Provide “Care Packages” to forward deployed troops, and hospitalized, and homeless veterans
  • Serve as Honor Guard for veteran funerals in private and military cemeteries
  • Decorate veterans graves with flags at Memorial Day and wreaths at Christmas
  • Offer Masses and prayers for ill and deceased veterans
